We are incredibly proud to announce that eargym has officially been accepted into the Mayo Clinic Berg Innovation Exchange (MCBIE) Waypoints Program.
This 12-week program represents a vital step forward in our mission to build the global platform for preventative hearing health intelligence. Over the coming months, we will collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical experts to design the rigorous frameworks needed to advance digital hearing therapeutics.

Setting the Standard for Digital Therapeutics
Participation in the Waypoints Program will directly support our primary near-term milestone: designing a robust clinical evidence framework and our first pivotal Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT).
While eargym is already registered as a FDA Class II and UK Class I medical device, our goal is to achieve EU Class IIa recognition, too.
To do this, we need to scientifically validate digital auditory training as an evidence-based therapeutic intervention that benefits both hearing and wider cognitive outcomes.
Through the Waypoints Program, we will be seeking guidance from Mayo Clinic’s world-class specialists in:
Audiology & Otolaryngology (ENT): To optimise digital trial designs and assessment parameters.
Cognitive Neurology & Neuropsychology: To better understand and measure the complex link between auditory training, cognitive performance, and healthy ageing.
Behavioural Science: To evaluate digital delivery methods and track outcomes related to mood, motivation, and social engagement.
Building on a Global Innovation Ecosystem
Our acceptance into the MCBIE Waypoints Program builds upon eargym's rapidly growing footprint of collaborations with world-leading institutions in the United States and the UK. This includes our ongoing work with:
Cleveland Clinic (US-based clinical collaboration)

By aligning with global leaders in healthcare, we aim to establish a shared scientific foundation for preventive hearing health. We are thrilled to begin this collaborative journey with the Berg Innovation Exchange team.
